François has 30 years of experience in consulting and operations, mainly dedicated to mid-sized companies in France.

François Darpas worked for Aldebaran for 4 years and is now Senior Operating Advisor. Before Aldebaran, François worked at CNIM, a French Engineering contractor and equipment manufacturer that operates in the Environment, Energy, Defense and High Technology sectors (€700m in revenues, 2,700 employees). He was a member of the Executive Committee in charge of Human Resources, Communications and IT for 5 years and spent his last 2 years in charge of setting up the services business (€60m, 300 employees). 

Before CNIM, he spent 22 years in Consulting, as Partner at Balthazar (Transformation & HR consulting: 2007-2014), Director at EY Advisory (Management and IT consulting: 1999-2007), Principal at REL Consultancy Group (Working Capital Management: 1992-1999). François conducted more than 100 projects from strategy to finance improvements for large corporate and mid-market enterprises. He started his career at Protex International, a family-owned company active in the production of chemical specialties.

During his career, François worked on several private equity assignments (acquisition, post-acquisition, exit, merger): Pasteur Cerba (Initiative & Finance), Larivière (Axa PE), Kion & Tarkett Sommer (KKR), Orangina (Blackstone), carve out of Babcock Wanson and the Cometal acquisition (CNIM). 

François graduated from IEP Lyon, studying Economics and Finance and Université Paris Cité, DUT, Communications and Public Relations.

Songwriter and composer. Member of Sacem since 1983, he has collaborated in producing about ten musical comedies and twenty song albums.
